YEAS!
It’s all happening. Celine Dion is the most ridiculous human being on this earth. And I mean that in the best way possible. The show was amazing. Almost every part of the stage moved or rotated in some way. She had 5 costume changes during the show and 3 encores. I’ve never seen someone give 3 encores. I don’t even want to start about her crazy facial expressions and passionate arm pumping. She basically took her show that she had in Vegas on tour, so it had to be crazy.
The entrance was fabulous. She had these see-through tv screens that were surrounding her as she came up from the floor as well as lights that came up through the stage. There were flat screen tv’s on the side of the stage and huge projectors over her. The entrance involved crazy ridiculous lighting with an elaborate video of her. Towards the end of the video she gets in a car and starts driving. As the car drives away you see her come up through the floor singing, “I droooooove alllllllll niiiiiiiiight!….to get to you.” At this moment a single tear went down my face. Those of you that know me, know that I’m not kidding.
The show was so fantastic. The last encore started with scenes from Titanic. Then fake candles dropped from the ceiling and twinkling lights came on. She came out in this flowing black dress that was blowing in some of her fake wind and sang My Heart Will Go On. I’m so glad I can now say I saw that live.
On top of being such a great show, before it started this crazy asian lady came up to me and asked me to help her find her seat. She pronounced row like wow with an r. This prompted several people around me including an older gay gentleman to ask if they were in the right place. After I helped them I noticed the most wonderful gay men in their lower 30’s sitting diagonal from me.
Basically it was a great night.
